Keep denim bottoms, denim clothing, and jeans from fading by starting with a saltwater wash to help set the die. For a single pair, combine a gallon of water and 2 tablespoons of table salt. If you opt-out of salt, you can also keep your denim from losing its color by adding a cup of distilled vinegar to the mild detergent.
Be sure to avoid over-washing your denim and remember to check all of your pockets before washing. It is also key to remember the special considerations for light denim compared to dark denim washes.
